Turok Series Set to Release on Nintendo Switch

Turok, a series based on comic book franchise is finally making its return to Nintendo platform with remasters on Switch. Turok: Dinosaur Hunter released over 20 years ago on Nintendo 64 with a historical debut and still has a big fan base.

The remasters come with audio, graphical, and visual enhancements done via “new visual engine”. There are also some new features included. In case you don’t know, the game involves different heavily equipped dinosaur enemies, traps, puzzle and some Aliens. You can battle against them using the 14 weapons ranging from rifles to rocket launchers.

Turok is a series of first-person shooter video games in which the players take the role of a Native American time-traveling warrior against an evil overlord campaigner trying to conquer the universe. The game’s description is ripped back from the 1990s.

The game is now listed by Nintendo on eShop. 1997’s Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is going to cost you $19.99 and arrives on March 18, 2019. Turok 2: Seeds of Evil will arrive sometime later on Switch and is expected to cost the same as on other platforms. Seeds of Evil is said to arrive soon and the developer has already confirmed the concerned fans via Discord.

It’s not the first time that the game is being remastered as it’s already available on current-gen hardware including Xbox One and PC. We are likely to get the bundle of both games sometime in the future which costs $29.99 on Xbox One.

Nightdive Studios is the publisher and developer of the upcoming port. It’s the same studio that’s working on the highly anticipated System Shock remake.

If you are a fan, then it’s your chance for another nostalgic trip and what could be better than to play it on the go.
